WWTP Contractors for More Efficient Clean Water Treatment Systems

Managing factory wastewater while ensuring a stable supply of clean water is a complex operational challenge. Since its inception in 2005, PT Hydromaster Harmoni Nusantara has been a leading contractor for commercial and industrial-scale WWTPs in Indonesia.

We don't just design and build wastewater treatment plants; we integrate advanced engineering technologies. Ultimately, heavily polluted wastewater can be transformed into clean, high-quality water ready for reuse.

WWTP Contractor Facilities Through MBBR and MBR Technology

The quality of the biological waste treatment system determines the efficiency of the land and the final waste output (effluent). Hydromaster implements modern biological systems to optimize the performance of Indonesian WWTPs, including through Key benefits of MBBR (MBBR) and Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR).

In the MBBR system, we utilize biofilms attached to thousands of small floating plastic media with a density of approximately 1 g/cm³. This pollutant decomposition process can increase treatment capacity to more than 501 TP3T on the same land area and is more resilient to fluctuations in waste load (shock loading).

MBBR MBR

On the other hand, our MBR technology eliminates the need for conventional sedimentation tanks by combining the activated sludge process (activated sludge) and microporous membrane filtration. Membrane Ultra Filtration (UF) PVDF material acts as a physical barrier that drastically filters bacteria and suspended solids, resulting in UF-quality treated water that is ready for the recycling stage.

Indonesia's WWTP Specific Solution for High COD Handling

For industries such as paper, palm oil or tapioca factories that produce liquid waste at high levels Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) extreme, Hydromaster presents a system Anaerobic Digester using a UASB reactor (Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket).

This reactor design is technically capable of managing waste characteristics with COD content ranging from 2,000 mg/L to 80,000 mg/L, with a reduction rate (removal) reached 80% to 95%.

The complex biological processes within it (hydrolysis, acidogenesis, and methanogenesis) not only purify water, but also produce biogas (methane) extraction as a renewable energy source.

In the final stages of residue handling, your operational smoothness is supported by the installation Sludge Dewatering sophisticated. Hydromaster adopts technology Volute Screw Press from AMCON which works with helical shaft blades to press the mud mechanically. This technology is 100% blockage free (clog-free) and cut construction costs by reducing dependence on sludge thickener addition.

Demineralization up to Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

More than just meeting waste quality standards, our system designs are designed for reuse (recycling). The processed results from the biological unit can be forwarded to the system Reverse Osmosis (RO), both BWRO (for brackish/recycled water) equipped with membranes Polyamide type spiral wound, as well as SWRO for seawater desalination.

If the factory needs supplies boiler feed water or ultra-pure process water, we provide continuous Demineralization facilities using Mixed Bed and modules Electro De-Ionization (EDI) without regeneration of acid/base chemicals.

In fact, Hydromaster is ready to take your installation towards absolute sustainability targets through Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD). Relying on the integration of membrane filtration with technology Multi-Effect Evaporation (EEC) and Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR), the concentrated residue is processed through thermal evaporation and crystallization. As a result, the water can be fully reused while pollutants are extracted as dry solid waste.

Hydromaster's Track Record in Handling Massive-Scale Projects

Hydromaster has proven its technical credibility through the execution of vital projects for multinational corporations and state-owned enterprises, including:

  • Pertamina Refinery (Sumatra): Construction of a massive wastewater purification system (WWTP) with a capacity of 1,680 m³/day in 2022.
  • Krakatau Posco (Cilegon): Installation Demineralization System with a production capacity of 1,440 m³/day.
  • Bayer Indonesia (Cimanggis): Improvement work (upgrading) and WWTP recycling with a capacity of 300 m³/day which will be completed in 2025.
  • LNG Donggi Senoro: Implementation of MBBR technology with a capacity of 300 m³/day in 2021.
  • Senipah Gas-Powered Power Plant (Balikpapan): Building facilities Demin Water Treatment Plant (combining the filtering stages Multi Media Filter, UF, RO, and Mixed Bed) with a capacity of 432 m³/day.

Leave everything from electrical design, fluid instrumentation, PLC control, and high-level piping installation to the experts. Ensure the reliability of your industrial water supply is in safe hands. PT Hydromaster Harmoni Nusantara!
