WWTP with Aeration system
In addition to the Carbon cycle (21%), the Nitrogen cycle N2 (79%) is in a continuous cycle. The Nitrogen cycle is crucial as a source of nutrients for plants, then for animals and humans. Nitrogen ends up in domestic or industrial wastewater, which is channeled to a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) or WasteWater Treatment Plant (WWTP), which plays a crucial role in returning Nitrogen to its original cycle and minimizing the impact of wastewater on the environment.
