This management concept ensures that industrial liquid waste can be fully recycled and reused.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"translation-block\">How Zero Liquid Discharge<i><\/i> Works in Wastewater Treatment<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ZLD is not a single machine, but rather a system of processes that integrates various stages of physical and thermochemical processing. This series of processes includes membrane separation, evaporation, crystallization, and final drying.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal is to remove solid waste from wastewater while recycling most of the treated water to be returned to the production facility.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>1. Preliminary Separation Using Membrane Technology<\/h3>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first step in this system generally involves advanced membrane separation technology (such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ultrafiltration<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reverse Osmosis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) to separate clean water molecules from pollutants. The purified water produced by the filtration process can be directly recycled into the plant\u2019s utility system. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After this separation process, the stream that cannot pass through the membrane becomes liquid concentrate waste with a very high concentration of salts and impurities. It is at this point that the core treatment stage of a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Zero Liquid Discharge<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> system begins.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>2. Thermal Evaporation Processes Using MEE and MVR Technologies<\/h3>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The liquid waste with such extreme concentrations is then fed into the evaporation facility. To evaporate the water and leave behind the pollutants with optimal energy efficiency, this system relies on the application of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Multi-Effect Evaporation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (MEE) and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mechanical Vapor Recompression<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (MVR). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both of these evaporation technologies have proven their reliability through 30 years of global use in the industrial market. Utilizing steam and evaporation technologies is highly beneficial, as it can reduce operating costs by 50% to 70%.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>3. Crystallization and Extraction into Solid Waste<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of the remaining pure water will evaporate and then condense again, leaving behind the pollutant contaminants in the form of a highly concentrated solution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final processing step involved crystallization and drying.
